The European Academy of Paediatrics (EAP) is not only a Paediatric Association made up of European and non–European paediatricians and paediatric related professionals, but it is also the Paediatric Section of UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) and as such represents the official voice for children and paediatricians throughout Europe.
With the 2013 EAP Educational Congress and MasterCourse, EAP continues to fulfil its mission to train, educate, and update those professionals taking care of children, while at the same time stimulating and allowing each one of you the opportunity to meet and/or create your own professional network of colleagues and friends.
The 2013 EAP Congress is the perfect setting to get the most updated, state-of-the-art information on the latest developments in research and clinical practice in the main areas of Paediatrics. It also gives you the opportunity to debate on controversial issues and to contribute, with your own voice, to the progress of the practice of paediatrics.
For young professionals it is the perfect occasion not only to actively participate in the Congress where you can discuss your research work with internationally renowned paediatricians but, by extending your stay, to participate in the MasterCourse on Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. The MasterCourse, the first of many to come, is structured to be a practical instrument to further improve your knowledge and practice in this particular field of Paediatrics.
It is for these reasons that the Executive Committee of the EAP joins me in extending a very warm invitation to join us by sending your abstract and by participating actively in the 2013 EAP Educational Congress and MasterCourse.
