It is our distinct honour and pleasure to extend to you a warm invitation to attend the 6th International Society of Vascular, Cognitive and Behavioural Disorders Congress, June 25- 28, 2013 being held at Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We promise that VasCog 2013 will offer innovative science, an enjoyable social program and lots of opportunity for invigorating interactions in Canada's largest urban centre.
Building on the successes of our previous conferences held around the world, this year's congress will bring together experienced clinicians, leading scientists and keen young investigators to share insights and the latest findings on vascular contributions to cognitive impairment, mood and behavioural disorders, including vascular and genetic risk factors, diagnostic issues in Vascular Dementia, and relationships of vascular pathology to Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias with perspectives from around the world, including special contributions from Asian VasCog.
The conference is undoubtedly one of the best opportunities for social and scientific networking, in this bourgeoning field of vascular brain health and aging, at the interface between stroke and neurodegenerative disorders. Our scientific program committee represents a highly distinguished international group of experts in the field and the stimulating program will be attended by more than 300 stroke and dementia researchers, clinicians, epidemiologists, basic scientists and other health care professionals.
Our teaching sessions in the afternoon of June 25 will provide basic updates on genetics, neuroimaging, cognitive assessment, population and cohort studies as well as interventional trials. We will have exciting keynote addresses, debates and symposia covering a variety of hot topics.
This year we are also introducing a series of 4 pre-meeting satellite symposia on June 24-25 that will focus on Clinical Harmonization of Cognitive Assessments from around the world, on Small Vessel Disease, on Animal Models and on Cognitive Rehabilitation interventions with an emphasis on Goal Management Training.
